Welcome to Fifth Grade!

Hi! My name is Kaitlyn Massie and I will be teaching 5th grade Math & Social Studies at Canton Intermediate! I am thrilled to be in this role for the 2024-2025 School Year! 

 

This is my second year teaching in Canton ISD, but my 11th year teaching. I taught 5th Grade Math in Rockwall before coming here. I actually grew up in Canton, so I am so excited to be back in my hometown! I have been married for 7 years to my wonderful husband and we have one son named Jake who just turned 2. We enjoy anything outdoors but especially love fishing and hiking.

 

I received my bachelor's degree in education from Abilene Christian University in 2013! I do not believe I will ever stop growing and learning as a teacher.  I strive for an organized, safe, learning-centered, and fun classroom.  I am thrilled to get to teach your child this year!
