Welcome to Fifth Grade!

Hi! My name is Kaitlyn Massie and I will be teaching 5th grade Math & Social Studies at Canton Intermediate! I am thrilled to be in this role for the 2026-2027 School Year! 

 

This is my 4th year teaching in Canton ISD, but my 13th year teaching. I have taught 5th and 6th Math. I actually grew up in Canton, so I am so excited to be back in my hometown! I have been married for 9 years to my wonderful husband. We have one son who is 4 years old and starting Pre-K this year named Jake and another baby girl is on the way due in December!! We enjoy anything outdoors but especially love fishing, boating, and hiking.

 

I received my bachelor's degree in education from Abilene Christian University in 2013. I do not believe I will ever stop growing and learning as a teacher.  I strive for an organized, safe, learning-centered, and fun classroom.  I am thrilled to get to teach your child this year!
