Mrs. Thompson's Dyslexia Class

Hello!  My name is Kristen Thompson, and I am thrilled to be teaching your child here at Canton Intermediate School. Previously, I was the third grade special education teacher here at CIS, and I am so excited to be teaching dyslexia this year!  I am looking forward to working with you and your child. 
 
Canton is my home and where my heart is, and I am honored to teach in this amazing school district and be a part of this wonderful team of educators at Canton Intermediate.  I have a heart for children and a passion for teaching.  This is my 18th year to teach and 21st year in education.  My goal is to provide my students with a nurturing learning environment and for all of us to work together for the benefit of your children. 
 
I have been married to my husband, Jason, for 25 years, and we have two children.  Grace is 18 and is a student athlete playing softball in college.  Hunter is 15 and a sophomore at CHS.  He is on the CHS archery team and is an athletic manager who films Canton Eagle football games and flies a drone to film practice. I love to spend time with my family and watch Grace and Hunter do all of their activities.
