About Mrs. Furr

Hi there! My name is Rachel Furr, and I am a fourth grade math and science teacher. This is my eighth year teaching and my fourth year in 4th grade. My husband teaches Texas history at the jr. high and coaches football, basketball, and track. We have a toddler and a Lab named Winnie. In our free time, we like to try new coffee shops and spend time with family and friends.

I received my bachelor's degree in elementary education from Stephen F. Austin (SFA). I've taught 3rd grade math and science and 4th grade math and Texas history. Math is my absolute favorite subject, and I hope to spread my love of math to each of my students.

I come from a long line of teachers in my family, and I have always known that I wanted to be in education. I am so thankful to be living that dream.
