Welcome to Ms. Hatley's Physical Education Class.
Physical Fitness Test
We test the students twice a year on the physical fitness test.
The test consists of Aerobic Capacity (The Pacer), Body Composition (Body Mass Index – height and weight), Abdominal Strength (Curl-ups), Upper Body Strength (Push-ups), Trunk Strength and Flexibility (Trunk Lift), and Flexibility (Shoulder Stretch).
The students will get a copy of how they ranked at the end of the school year. One copy the students will get and another copy will be placed in their report card.
The last 6 weeks of school the 5th graders will start practicing dodge ball.
Only the 5th grade classes will play in the tournament.
Students will not be allowed to play in the tournament if the following consequences occur:
They do not turn in a half page handwritten report on sportsmanship.
Paper should consist of:
Part 1. Definition of sportsmanship.
Part 2. Students write their own definition of sportsmanship.
Rules: No pass No play!!!!!!!
Please encourage your students to stay on top of their grades and take care of their homework.
If students get in to a fight, cause trouble, or very disrespectful they will not play.
