Welcome to Counselor's Corner!

My name is Candace Massey, and I am the school counselor for Canton Intermediate. I grew up in Canton and am honored to be working in a district that is so near and dear to my heart.  My husband, Chris, and I are blessed to be raising our girls in such a wonderful community.  

This school year, I am beginning my 18th year in education.   I taught at Canton Junior High for 9 years, spent 4 years as the school counselor at Rains Elementary School in Emory, and I am now beginning my 5th year at CIS.  I am thrilled to be in Canton and on board with the great team at Canton Intermediate.

Anytime there is something going on that may be hindering your student, please feel free to touch base with me.  We all go through situations that impact us in one way or another, and I truly feel that it is my calling to help students navigate through some of these things so that they feel confident enough to move toward success.
